TRSA Family Gathering at Welfare Center
On March 16, the Rare Disease Welfare Center (RDWC) hosted over 200 guests from the Taiwan Rett Syndrome Association (TRSA). TRSA organized a two-day, one-night trip for patients, with their first destination being the RDWC in Kansai, Hsinchu. TFRD expresses gratitude to TRSA for coordinating this initiative.
After arriving at RDWC, everyone enjoyed a tasty and healthy lunch box and watched a video to learn more about the establishment of RDWC. After Executive Director, Kuan-Ju Chen gave a welcome speech, the Chairman of TRSA presented a appreciation certificate to RDWC and a gift box of homemade handmade soap.
In the afternoon, professionals organized a DIY activity, dividing everyone into two groups to participate in coffee roasting and the making of twisted scallion buns, respectively. Each participant found the flavor of the coffee they made by themselves distinctly enjoyable. Those who made twisted scallion buns eagerly anticipated the moment of tasting their creations.
After the DIY, TRSA members were guided to tour RDWC to make rare disease patients understand that RDWC is designed for them. Finally, all of us returned home with a rewarding journey, concluding this fun experience.
