Family Support Course

Living with a rare disease requires not only adapting to the condition itself, but also facing the long-term psychological stress, communication challenges, interpersonal adjustments, and lifestyle changes that arise from ongoing caregiving. In response, TFRD has launched a comprehensive “Family Support Course” that integrates both educational and experiential elements. From 2003 to 2025, we have organized 243 sessions, with a total of 14,056 participant attendances.

Through a diverse range of themed lectures and activities—such as baking, painting, writing, yoga, handicrafts, art therapy, horseback riding, shooting, and career exploration—patients and their families are able to nurture their physical and emotional well-being, relieve stress, discover personal interests, expand their knowledge, and ultimately achieve a better quality of life.
