Youth Camp: Tree Climbing & Paintball Adventure
The Youth Adventure Camp took place from March 22nd to 23rd at the Wangyou Grassland Holy Love Campground in Xinshe, Taichung, where 38 rare disease youth and their siblings participated in tree climbing, camping, and forest adventure activities.
Under the guidance of their instructors, participants were divided into three groups and took turns trying out different activities, including tree climbing and rope challenges. Regardless of the outcome, participants were met with enthusiastic cheers and words of encouragement, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere. In the evening, the instructors provided ingredients for a special dinner of carrot soup and pizza, which the participants cooked by themselves. Thanks to great teamwork, the group successfully prepared a delicious meal. After dinner, everyone gathered around the campfire to roast marshmallows, enjoying a cozy and cheerful evening together.
The following day, all of them gathered at a forest adventure park to take on various challenge courses suited to their skill levels. When some participants fell behind, fellow players stepped up to lend support, encouraging each other to push toward their personal goals. In the afternoon, the activity shifted to paintball. Clad in camouflage gear, participants dove into the game with enthusiasm—carefully aiming at targets or covering teammates during intense battles. Though the sun left everyone sunburned and glowing, they were all having a blast!
We sincerely thank the young staff members from Wangyou Grassland Holy Love Campground for their professional guidance and support, which made this two-day, one-night adventure an unforgettable and wonderful experience for everyone.
