Little Broadcasting Camp: the Beauty of sound
This winter break, TFRD cooperated with Philharmonic Radio Taipei for the first time to hold the “1st Rare Disorder Broadcasting Camp”. From January 31 to February 3, four sessions of classes were held, with a total of 25 participants including rare disease patients and their siblings.
Since 2015, TFRD and Philharmonic Radio Taipei has been collaborating to produce the "Firefly Story Island" radio drama series on rare disorders. The host Claudia uses her lively voice to introduce listeners to various types of rare disorders. TFRD have also turned the radio dramas into physical audiobooks, allowing younger children to learn about rare disorders in a fun and engaging way. Therefore, TFRD were honored to have Claudia as the course instructor.
After three beneficial courses, the final session provided an exciting opportunity for the students to enter the recording studio of Philharmonic Radio Taipei. They applied what they had learned throughout the courses. Taking turns, they recorded audio files, infusing each story with diverse and dynamic voices. This experience allowed them to gain firsthand knowledge of the daily life of voice actors.
We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who participated in our first-ever broadcasting camp this year. We eagerly anticipate the second broadcasting camp, where we hope to welcome even more individuals with a passion for broadcasting!
