TFRD Awarded with National Civic Service Award

TFRD received the National Civic Service Award awarded by the NPO Service Organization in recognition of our contribution in servicing rare disease patients. TFRD has been servicing rare disease patients in terms of lobbying for the establishment of rare disease legislation, medical service, life support, campus advocacy, and public advocacy.  So far, TFRD has been servicing more than 4000 rare disease patients and families in Taiwan.  This year, NPO Service Organization recognized our effort by awarding us a National Civic Service Award, which is also a great encouragement for all of us in TFRD.

National Civic Service Award has been awarded annually for the past 6 years to individuals and organizations who shared and dedicated their time and effort for the benefit of others. Many of the award receivers have been quite successful in their own business and their willingness to devote themselves in public service makes them even greater. Sharing and giving is the spirit of this award. Therefore, this award means a lot to us.  It will keep reminding us of our responsibility and driving us to our ultimate goal, to create a society where rare disease patients can all be taken cared of, and lead a happy life with dignity.
