Tissue Bank: Progressing Report

In order to make sure biospecimen and information provided by Taiwan Rare Disease Tissue Bank can properly meet future research demand, the third expert meeting was held in May to discuss the content of samples and information we will collect afterwards. 10 medical genetics physicians joined the meeting to share their opinions from clinical and academic viewpoint. They’ve contributed plentiful advices in various aspects such as inclusive criteria, quantity of blood samples and the design of chart review form. Furthermore, experts also suggested that we can take photographs to collect phenotype data. Through carefully planning, we believe this tissue bank will be more user-friendly and thus prompts more research to benefit our patients.
