“Firefly Story Island” Picture Books

TFRD has been working with Philharmonic Radio Taipei for a long time to produce the Firefly Story Island radio series, which is very popular among children. We published series I and II, and have completed series III in 2021. At present, stories about 36 kinds of rare diseases have been collected.

The most important feature of this series of picture books is that they are hand-drawn by patients with rare diseases. TFRD has been trying to transform the abstruse knowledge into vivid reading materials by using children's stories and easy-to-understand pictures. This series of picture books attracts children's attention to help promote their awareness of rare diseases to a deeper level, making it a series of picture books about rare disease education for schools and parents.

TFRD has been providing this series of picture books to elementary schools, kindergartens and libraries to be used as a class book or teaching material for years. It has been widely well-received by teachers and is a set of quality storytelling picture books worth recommending.
