Congrats ! Winning the 7th Spreading Charity Award

CHEN YUNG-TAI Charitable Trust (CYTCT) started its first Spreading Charity Award in 2015 with the idea of contributing to the society in the most efficient way. The Spreading Charity Award helps make many medium-sized social welfare organizations more visible. Approved by a professional review, the winners will receive long-term and stable sponsorship from CYTCT.

This year, due to the impact of the pandemic, a total of 30 social welfare organizations were nominated in the first stage of the review. In the second stage, eight organizations were selected from 12 organizations, including: Taiwan Foundation for Rare Disorders, Taiwan Corp. Sustainable Urban and Rural Care Association, Taiwan Association of Family Caregivers, Jun-yi Academy, Good Friend Mission, Yang Sheng Foundation, New Dawn Education and Nursing Institute, and Center for the Potential Development of Spinal Cord Injury

This year, TFRD proposed a project called "Rare Welfare Center" located in Guan-xi, Hsinchu. Aside from deepening the services for families with rare diseases, TFRD will also further cooperate with schools and organizations in the vicinity of Hsinchu. The project will integrate the resources from local communities to push for advocacy in science and life education. Also, the Rare Welfare Center will offer a space that allows families with rare diseases and the public to experience the facilities in it. This project not only serves as a highlight of the service for rare diseases in Asia, but also fits in with the "sustainable development" rating scheme of the Spreading Charity Award, which has won TFRD the approval and support from the judges.
