TFRD awarded International Caring for Life Award

Among many candidates, TFRD was recognized by the judges and received the Group Awards for the 5th International Caring for Life Award of Dharma Drum Mountain.

TFRD was established in 1999, and in 2000, the Rare Disease Prevention and Orphan Drug Act was passed. TFRD has attempted to establish a comprehensive umbrella to ensure institutional protection for the special population. We have made every effort to voice for rare diseases and to develop a variety of services. With such recognition and encouragement from the Dharma Drum Mountain Group Award, TFRD pledges to keep serving families with rare diseases, and to make the fragile lives of rare diseases less lonely and helpless. Only through the concerted efforts from patients, families, society, donors, volunteers and TFRD staffs can we achieve this mission impossible.
