The particularity of rare diseases hassignificant negative impacts on patients’ employment and self-confidence. Thefoundation aims to create a friendly employment environment to help patientsfind a path to employment and independent life. In recent years, a number ofcompanies in central Taiwan have invited patient families to present theirproducts and offer employment opportunities to them. To increase the visibilityon the diversity and exclusivity of products made by patient families, the foundation’scentral Taiwan office decided to hold a creative marketing course. This courseprovides an opportunity for discussions and learning to improve thecompetitiveness of their products.
In the age of fast-evolving Internet, manye-commerce platforms are selling numerous kinds of merchandizes. The EmploymentResources Development: Product Marketing Course was conducted via video linksbetween northern and central Taiwan. The first lecture focused on productdesign and marketing with the aim to discuss the necessity of brand imagedesigns, product packaging, and design inspirations. The lecturer usedwell-known brands as benchmarks for participants to review the features andvalues of their own products. During the course, the lecturer and participants hadplenty of interactions that allowed the lecturer to offer the best advices toquestions raised by participants.
Next, the course moved into the discussionof how to use the Internet to market products. The lecture covered topics suchas how to diversify online sales channels, spread risks, and use AV devices toproduce videos and live streams. The lecturer encouraged participants to expandonline sales channels and use good promotion materials and user comments toimprove their online marketing efforts.
