2019 Hundred Celebrities Charity Sales

The ninth charity sale “Art Your Compassion” was grandly held at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 3. 357 paintings drawn by celebrities from all over the world were successfully sold out in one and a half hours. In the charity event, all the paintings are anonymous and everyone can only buy two paintings, each with a price of NT$1,000. And people can only choose paintings by their first impressions and preferences.

This event received enthusiastic response from lots of celebrities and artists, including President Tsai Ing-wen, former Vice President Annette Lu, New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-ih, Taoyuan City Mayor Cheng Wen-tsan, Tainan City Mayor Huang Wei-che, Hualien County Magistrate Hsu, Chen-wei, former New Taipei City Mayor Eric Chu. In addition, famous artist Mickey Huang, director Chu Yu-ning, Wang Shau-di and Shi Cen-yan, Taiwan’s top tennis player Lu Yen-hsun, renowned baseball players Hsieh Chang-heng, Chiang Chien-ming and Tsao Chun-yang also participated in this event. On that day, people had already lined up at the entrance and, moreover, the first person who got the ticket had even begun lining up the previous evening. Especially, there were 13 rare disease patients who took part in this event. After being informed that the paintings they bought were drawn by rare disease patients, people said, “I am honored to buy it! It makes it more meaningful to me,” or “I thought the paintings were drawn by artists! They are so good.”

Thank Art Revolution Taipei for inviting TFRD to participate in this meaningful artistic event and thank 357 celebrities for taking time from their busy schedule to draw. People also bought paintings to show their support for the event. All of these actions are great encouragement to TFRD. This event has raised NT$357,000 and all amounts will be applied to cultivate patients’ painting skills.
