First Visit from Grown-up with Hands Family

On May 25, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Grown-up with Hands Family, part of the Shiguang Educational Institute in Zhudong. This marked the first collaboration between our two centers—a meaningful step toward fulfilling the Foundation’s mission of serving the local community and expanding opportunities for people with disabilities.

The day began with a special music session led by Ms. Shih Chia-Wen, an experienced instructor and parent of a child with Williams syndrome. She crafted the class especially for adult friends with intellectual disabilities, using songs and a mix of instruments to create an uplifting, hands-on experience. The room was soon filled with smiles, rhythm, and joy.

In the afternoon, rare crafts expert Ms. Huang Hsin-Hui led a DIY cactus potting activity. Each participant created their own tiny garden, adding unique decorative touches. Their proud expressions and sparkling eyes said it all—the creations were truly one of a kind.

We’re deeply thankful to the Grown-up with Hands Family for their visit. Their energy and heartfelt feedback warmed our hearts and made the day unforgettable for our team.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to keep building bridges with organizations that support individuals with disabilities. Together, we can continue creating inclusive and joyful moments for everyone involved.
