Christmas Feast with Happiness

TFRD's Kaohsiung City Branch Office held a cooking class in JC's kitchen on December 25, 2021. Once again, we invited a parent-child cooking instructor, Mr. Lin Jia-shen, to give instruction. We hope that the families with RD patients will be able to prepare Christmas food despite of their hectic caring life. Among 17 families with 11 types of illnesses, a total of 34 patients and their families joined this event. All participants were divided into four groups to share the work, which brought the afternoon cooking workshop bustling with excitement.

During the cooking process, each member had his or her own role to play. It was a very lively atmosphere with laughter coming out from time to time. After a period of cooking and interaction between the groups, a strong aroma spread around the room. This is also a way to connect with the families and give them a short respite.

The Rare Cuisine Kitchen Train will continue to travel throughout Taiwan to convey the sincere blessings and feelings through delicious dishes made by our own hands. By connecting with the patients and their families through cooking, the train will help to relieve their stress and heal their emotions as well as replenish their energy for the long journey of caregiving.
