TEPA Walking Fun with RD
Taiwan Environmental Protection Association (TEPA), a long-time supporter of rare diseases, held a walking event on December 26, 2021. TFRD invited 10 Rare Craftsmen to set up a booth at the fair, with products including cloth bags, handmade soap, knitted hand-rope, braised food, meat dumplings, Christmas-shaped cookies, and other handmade food for everyone to satisfy their appetite.
In addition, we invited a patient, Lin-Yi, with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome from Taichung, to play Ocarina and Hulusi. Another patient with osteogenesis imperfect from Chiayi, Shih-Hsiang, sang songs with a strong Taiwanese flavor. In fact, there are many challenges that patients have to overcome in order to get on stage. It took a lot of practice to achieve a great performance. Once again, we would like to thank TEPA, the Baiyuan Charity Association, Councilwoman Lee's Service Office, Formosa Haircut Volunteer Team, the New Taipei City Music and Dance Promotion Association, and all the charity organizations for their hard work and planning. We would also like to thank the Capital Bus for transporting the RD patients to the venue with a low-riding bus.
