Emotional Loss Care Workshop
When patients and their families are dealing with illness, they often feel sad, depressed, and hopeless. However, before these emotions are properly dealt with, patients and their families often have no choice but to continue to suffer from the problems resulting from the illness. This year, TFRD held a special workshop on "Emotional Loss Care", in which Ms. Hong Yat-ting, a consulting psychologist, led the participants to face their emotions and heal their inner bodies and minds.
Ms. Hong first helped participants to see their own and other families' situations, and to unfold the hidden tensions, conflicts and important relationships in the family. In addition, she took the participants to see the problems that need to be solved in the family and to think about further solutions.
Ms. Hong also taught the participants how to make massage creams to relieve the pangs and stresses on the body muscles in daily life. Under the guidance of Ms. Hong, the participants learned that grief and loss are a part of life's experience. They learned how to express their condolences and gratitude when facing a loss, and came to realize that giving themselves blessings is the most important reconciliation.
