2021 TFRD Art & Culture Creative Exhibition

From October 2 to 25, TFRD will hold 2021 Taiwan Foundation for Rare Disorders Art & Culture Creative Exhibition in Hall 2 on the first floor of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Rare craftsmen and professional lecturers have been invited to offer a series of exciting DIY classes, such as table lamp handicraft, Zen tangle, cactus potted candle handicraft, animal knitting coaster handicraft, cotton rope knitting, etc. The exhibition features a wide range of artworks by patients from northern, central, and southern Taiwan. The main theme of the exhibition is "life in the pandemic", presenting the daily portrait of people fighting the pandemic together.

Besides paintings, the exhibition will also display the achievements of other TFRD courses, such as traveling around the world with the members of the Zen tangle class; making LINE stickers of the wonderful things they see in their lives under the guidance of the rare disease illustrator Zheng Ling; and reorganizing the important growth process of life through writing in the writing class. Meanwhile, six outstanding rare disease artists have been invited to exhibit their selected works. Lastly, an art creation area set up by the Patient Autonomy Research Center allows patients to tell their family members about their unspoken love through creative works, and to express their gratitude, apology, love, and farewell beyond words.
