The Movie “Rock Me To the Moon” Broadcast on National Geographic Channel

The movie “Rock Me To the Moon”, which describes an enthusiastic band composed of six fathers whose children suffer from rare disorders. Taiwanese fathers whose children with rare disorders are used to be resolute and pretend to be strong in front of others but conceal their sadness, pain and pressure. Once their emotional stress accumulates to the limit/extreme, they are easy to break down. For this amateur rock band who attended the Hohaiyan Rock Festival in 2012, their reasons for forming this band was not only to make the dreams of their youth come true, but release their feelings/negative feelings/emotional pain.

These six fathers don’t know that how long they can accompany with their children but they are sure that they should not run away. Some of these fathers needs to play the role of both father and mother, raising and taking care of his child by himself. Life is bittersweet. They got through it when they were at their most vulnerable and then keep forward, hoping their children will know that their love for them never change. Their average age is 52. Whether they can stand on the stage of the Hohaiyan Rock Festival in 2012 summer or not, love and supporting among them and their family have created miracles in their lives.

The theme song of this film was honored with the Best Original Film Song in the 50th Golden Horse Awards.
