Olympic Gold Medalists Support for RD Families

In September 2021, Olympic gold medalists in badminton Lee Yang and Wang Chi-Lin joined with BlueBird Travel to launch a limited edition of egg roll gift boxes for charity, with BlueBird Travel donating NT$200 per box to TFRD. Within just two weeks, 400 boxes were successfully sold out. BlueBird Travel even offered another 40 egg roll gift boxes and signed posters to those who supported the donation, reaching another climax for this charity event. A total of NT$160,800 was raised, which will be used for the Comprehensive Care for Rare Patients Program to provide emergency relief for patients with rare diseases.

In addition, at the 19th Rare Disease Scholarship Award Ceremony on November 20, when Lee and Wang learned that nearly 400 excellent students with rare diseases were awarded, they kindly recorded a heart-warming video for the winners despite their busy competition schedule. BlueBird Travel once again donated 400 egg roll gift boxes, each with blessing cards from Lee and Wang, in hopes of giving each winner a special honor.
