Mind Theater
This time, Wei Da-Hong, a counselor from Li Ren Psychological Clinic, was invited by TFRD’s Mind Theater, along with two trainee counselors, to watch the movie "Starfish" adapted from a real-life story with 21 RD patients and their families. By using the movie as a stimulus, the counselors attempted to delve into family-centered interactions while simultaneously evoking a sense of connection in the patients and their caregivers.
After the movie screening, participants assumed various roles in different families, such as wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and children, were invited to engage in a collective discussion. The participants were given the opportunity to reflect on and discuss important issues in family relationships. They shared their perspectives and confusion, and came away with insights and new solutions.
Mind Theater offers a nurturing and secure space for emotional catharsis, facilitating better connections between families and patients, fostering mutual support and comprehension, promoting individual mental well-being and personal development, and shedding new light on familial relationships.
